An exhibit of mic-a-rt,
photography and sculpture titled Old Friends/New Visions III will be on display
January 3 through the 31. The exhibit features the works of Terrence
Boylan, photography; Richard Grant, oils, watercolor and ink; and Ed Lyman
Rondeau, metal sculpture.
Author Talk Chip Bishop Tuesday, January 31 at 10:30 a.m.
Please join author Chip Bishop for
a discussion and signing of his new book The Lion and the Journalist a dual
biography of Theodore Roosevelt and Joseph Bucklin Bishop. A richly drawn
portrait, this is a remarkable story of a little-known but vital friendship of
Theodore Roosevelt and his friend and biographer, newspaperman Joseph Bucklin
Bishop. Mr. Bishop has written extensively for radio and television news,
newspapers and industry trade journals. Admission is free. All are welcome.
All levels of knitters are
welcome, from those who are anxious to begin to advanced knitters. Come and
learn, share patterns and meet new friends as you do your knits and purls.
Story Hour and Toddler Town at the Library
Story Hour for children
ages 2 and up is held on Wednesday mornings at
10:30 am. This early learning experience includes stories, songs craft and
snack. Toddler Town for children birth
to 3 is held on Thursday mornings at 10 am.
Toddler Town features free play and movement.
After School Craft at the Library
Children ages 3 and up
are invited to an after school craft program on
Thursday, January 12 at 4:00 p.m. Make a
snowman door decoration to welcome winter.
